Terry Guest is an award winning playwright, actor,director and producer and "one of Chicago’s most interesting theatrical avant-gardists" (Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune). His plays have been produced, workshopped and commissioned around the country at theatres including Atlantic Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Alliance Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Children's Theatre Company and Raven Theatre.  His plays include "At The Wake of Dead Drag Queen", " The Magnolia Ballet", "OAK", "Marie Antionette and the Magical Negros",  "Milo Imagines the World", "Nightbirds",  and "Andy Warhol Presents: The Cocaine Play".  He is a Joyce Award, Jeff Impact Fellowship, David Goldman Fund Best New American Play award, and 4 time Jeff Award winner as well as 2 time Goodman New Stages resident and Hermitage Fellow. Terry is inspired by Black History, Thrift stores, The Renaissance World Tour, Tina Turner, Tennessee Williams, Whitney Houston's live vocal performances, my mama's cooking, Madonna, Flannery O'Connor, Andre Leon Talley, Fiona Apple, Paul Thomas Anderson, Toni Morrison, Spike Lee, Sondheim and 90s drag culture.
